Space

The DataMgr dmfsscan command controls migration by bringing space usage levels for a managed ﬁle system in line with the values deﬁned by the DataMgr administrator with the low and prestage watermarks.

The dmfsscan command, as a default, uses /usr/tmp for temporary ﬁle storage. If you want these ﬁles to be directed elsewhere, edit the /etc/dmfs/config/params ﬁle and add the "DMFS_TMPDIR=newdir" entry as shown below:

#cd /etc/dmfs/config/params

Add this entry DMFS_TMPDIR=newdir to the ﬁle.
