The Hybrid VBR MPEG2 encoder means High-quality images. Dolby Digital means High-quality audio. By recording in the XP or SP modes, you can record in Linear PCM (stereo) for even higher quality audio.

You can record a maximum of 8 hours on one double-sided 9.4 GB DVD-RAM disc. (4 hours maximum continuous recording)

Progressive output (NTSC only)
