100HZ INTELLIGENT FRAME CREATION (LCD)
When watching fast-moving sports events or fi lms on TV, you want to enjoy all the action without motion blur. By creating intermediate, interpolated frames and inserting them between the original frames, VIERA LCD TVs are able to deliver crystal-clear images, especially when fast motion is displayed.
100HZ DOUBLE SCAN (PLASMA)
The standard European PAL broadcast signal is 50Hz
– meaning that the on-screen image on your TV is refreshed 50 times per second. VIERA Plasma TVs have a built-in 100Hz Double Scan technology which doubles the screen refresh rate, resulting in fl icker-free images.
MOTION FOCUS (LCD)
Motion Focus technology lets you enjoy crisp motion or moving image parts, such as scrolling news tickers, which can sometimes be diffi cult to read. It works by intelligently blinking the backlight of the LCD – and is automatically triggered by the fast-moving content on the TV.

INTELLIGENT SCENE CONTROLLER
This system adjusts the backlight brightness according to the scene. In dark scenes, the backlight is dimmed to reproduce deeper blacks.
24P SMOOTH FILM
For perfectly smooth movie images, 24p Smooth Film increases the number of frames displayed. In VIERA TVs, that means new frames are inserted, based on the original 24 frames of the movie source, and the frame count is increased to up to 96 frames per second.
24P PLAYBACK
In VIERA LCD TVs, every frame is shown 4 times, which increases the 24p signal to 96Hz. So you can enjoy films at their original frame rate, just as the director intended.
10-BIT PANEL (LCD)
