Searching for digital television channels from a satellite automatically

Satellite data changes frequently, new channels are constantly being added. You should therefore perform an automatic search from time to time.

This searches all transponders for new channels.

1Open the menu with »MENU«.

2Select the line »SOURCE SETUP« with »V« or »Λ« and press »OK« to confirm.

– The »SOURCE SETUP« menu appears.

Select the input source »Satellite« with »<«, »>«, »V« or »Λ« and press »OK« to con- firm.

4Select the line »Automatic Channel Search« with »V« or »Λ« and press »OK« to confirm.

– The menu appears.

5Select the line »Select Satellites« with »V« or »Λ« and press »OK« to confirm.

– The »SELECT SATELLITE« menu appears.

6Select a satellite with »V« or »Λ« and press »OK« to confirm.

7Select the line »Scan Mode« with »V« or »Λ«.

Select the scan mode with »<« or »>« (for unencrypted channels, for encrypted channels only, or both).

8Select the line »Service Type« with »V« or »Λ«.

Use »<« or »>« to select whether you want to search for television channels (TV) only, radio stations only (Radio) or both (Radio + TV).

9Select the line »Network Search« with »V« or »Λ«.

Select the option »On« with »<« or »>«

If the »Network Search« is set to »On«, the data will be accessed via the new tran- sponder of the network which has been set.

10Start the scan with »« (red).

Note:

7If the previously stored channels should be retained in the channel list and the new channels found be added to it, then press »« (green).

If »« (red) is pressed, the saved channels will be deleted from the current channel list.

The »Results« menu appears, and the scan for TV channels begins.

Depending on the number of television channels received, this can easily take a few minutes.

The search is complete as soon as the »PROGRAM TABLE« appears.

Note:

7You can abort the search by pressing »MENU«.
