Note

Connect this unit directly to the TV.

You will not be able to hear all of the sound being output by this unit if you use the video/audio cables (supplied) to a monaural TV that has only one audio input jack.

Be sure that the colors of the jacks and plugs match up when connecting the cable.

If your TV is compatible with the Progressive Scan System, and you want to utilize its feature, use the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT connection. If you use any other connection such as VIDEO OUT or S-VIDEO OUT, the picture will not be output in the Progressive Scan mode but in the standard output mode (Interlace).

If yourTV is compatible with 525p (480p) progressive scanning and you want to enjoy the high quality picture;

You must select the connection Method 3 to utilize the progressive scanning mode.To set the mode on/off, press and hold B PLAY on the front panel for more than 5 seconds so that “P-SCAN”will appear on the Front Panel Display.

(The progressive scanning is not available in the DVR mode.)

If yourTV is not compatible with Progressive Scan;

Use this unit in the interlace mode. Make sure that no “P-SCAN”is on the Front Panel Display. If “P-SCAN”is on the Front Panel Display, press and hold B PLAY on the front panel for more than 5 seconds to turn it off.
