Picture and sound settings DVD

DISPLAY menus contain information on the disc or the unit. With DVD-Videos, you can use the repeat function, change subtitles and the angle, change the picture and sound settings for DVD playback. Depending on the status of the unit (playback, STOP), there are some entries that cannot be selected or changed.

Subtitles, sound track and recording angle can only be selected if they were recorded on the disc. For some discs, they can only be changed via the disc menus. When bilingual recordings are played back, "1+1 ch" is displayed.

Select the sound and the language.

The disc sound properties are displayed.

LPCM/PPCM/Dolby Digital, DTS and MPEG: signal type, ch (channel):

number of channals, k (kHz): scan frequency, b (bit): number of bits

VCD DivX

Select the audio channel.

Subtitle	[On] [Off]	DVD-A		DVD-V
		Switch subtitles on or off, select the language.
		RAM	-R		-R DL	-RW(V)	+R	+R DL	+RW	-RW(VR)
		Only for discs with the Subtitle On/Off setting. The Subtitle On/Off setting
		cannot be recorded with this unit.
		VCD
		Switch subtitles on or off, select the number of the subtitle.

		Change audio during playback.

	[Automatic]	The unit detects whether the DivX content was recorded as full or half
		picture.
	[Progressive]	The picture may look blurry, but the overall quality is very good.
	[Interlace]	Contains only half the information of a full picture (Interlace) and the
		picture quality is poorer.
Angle		DVD-A		DVD-V
		Select another recording angle.
Still Picture		DVD-A
		Select the still image playback type.
	[Slide Show]	Disc playback in the original sequence.
	[Page]	Select the still image number and playback.
		RANDOM: Playback in random order.
		Return to the standard page: Select [Return] and press ENTER.
PBC		VCD	DivX
		PBC shows whether the menu playback control is on/off.
