Pressing [:] [D] or [9] [E] while the playback control feature on Video CDs (page 54) is working may take you to a menu screen.

Cursor buttons [2, 1] are also effective while paused for frame-

by-frame viewing.

Backward ([2;]) does not work with Video CDs.

Starting play from a selected item

Press the numbered buttons to select the item.

e.g.,

This may not work with some discs.

This works only when stopped with some discs (the screen saver is on the television).

[DVD-A]

– A group number can be specified while the screen saver is displayed.

e.g.,

Playing bonus groups

Some discs contain bonus groups. If a password screen appears after selecting a group, enter the password with the numbered buttons and press [ENTER]. Refer also to the disc’s jacket.
