5Switching Each Mode

DTV

You can easily switch with the remote control to the DTV (ATSC), TV (NTSC) and DVD mode or to access an external device when they are connected to the unit.

Press [SELECT] repeatedly to cycle through analog TV, digital TV, external input (VIDEO) and DVD.

In the digital mode, the detailed broadcasting information for the current channel such as program title, the program guides are displayed.

Press [DISPLAY] repeatedly to cycle through the avail- able display modes.

To use the video input jack on the front of the unit, select “VIDEO”.

Note:

When you switch the analog mode to the digital mode, it may take a while until the digital channel selection is com- pleted. The following message is displayed while switching the mode.

You can display the currently selected channel or other information such as the audio mode on the TV screen.

In the analog mode, the current channel number is displayed.

Press [DISPLAY].

CH 10

The current channel number is displayed at the top- right corner of the TV screen.

To clear the display, press [DISPLAY] again.

Press [MODE] repeatedly to cycle through the avail- able audio languages.

(“OTHER” is displayed when the audio language can- not be acquired, or the acquired languages are other than English, Spanish or French.)

Available languages differ depending on the broadcast.

The information display will automatically disappear in 1 minute.

Pressing [MODE] does not control external audio device.
