Remote control buttons and functions

2Press the 6 buttons and choose the surround mode

The surround mode changes as follows each time the buttons are pressed.

DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC:

Choose when surround speakers are connected.

This mode is for use with any stereo music recordings, and provides a wide and deep sound space.

Set the surround settings in advance (see “Surround settings (Dolby Pro Logic II)” on page 17).

DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE: Choose when surround speakers are connected.

Movie programmes with Dolby* Surround sound are heard with 5.1ch surround sound.

Set the surround settings in advance (see “Surround settings (Dolby Pro Logic II)” on page 17).

DOLBY VIRTUAL:

Choose when surround speakers (sold separately) are not connected. Programmes with stereo sound and Dolby* Surround sound are heard with a surround effect using only the TV speaker

SURROUND OFF:

Choose when you want to stop the surround effect.

The surround mode can also be chosen and set from the SOUND menu (see page 26).

DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE.

1Press the i (surround) button

The SURROUND MODE menu appears.

2Press the 6 buttons and choose DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE, then press the a or 3 button

The DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE menu appears.

TV SPEAKER:

L/C/R:

Choose when using the TV speaker.

CENTRE:

Choose when using external L/R speakers and the TV speaker as the centre speaker.

OFF:

Choose when using an external front speaker. Sound does not come from the TV speaker.

LEFT:

Set the volume for the left speaker.

CENTRE:

Set the volume for the centre speaker.

RIGHT:

Set the volume for the right speaker.
