„Audio amplifier and front speakers

You can use external front speakers to listen to the TV sound instead of the TV speakers. Also note that when you want to use the DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE, you can set it to issue sound from both of the TV speakers and external front speakers so that you can listen to spoken dialogues more clearly and easily. For details, see “Surround function (Dolby Pro Logic II)” on page 16.

You cannot cut the sound from the front speaker even if you connect headphones to the TV.

„External surround speakers

You can connect external surround speakers to the TV so that you can use the “DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC:” or “DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE:” on page 17. Before using the DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE, however, follow “Surround settings (Dolby Pro Logic II)” on page 17.
