APPENDIX A: Detaching the base.

CAUTION 1: Detaching the base to the Vivitek LCD-TV requires the skills of a qualified technician. Do not attempt to detach the base by yourself. Vivitek Corp. bears no responsibility for improper action resulting in accident or injury.

CAUTION 2: Ensure that no cables are attached to the TV during the detaching of the base.

This Vivitek LCD-TV has also been designed to accommodate wall mounting fixtures that adhere to

VESA standards. Before detaching the base to the TV set, please do not remove the TV packing.

LT40PL3-A/LT46PL3-A

Step-1(1) With the LCD-TV firmly packed within the shipping carton, turn the carton upside down and lay it on a flat and steady surface. (2) Remove the plastic handles that secure the bottom to the carton.

Step-2(1) Lift the bottom and packing materials up and out of the shipping carton. This will expose the mounting points for the base. (2) Removing the 5 screws secured on the base, then detach the base fixture from the mounting points (3) Re-insert the packing material and the bottom.

Step-3(1) Re-insert the plastic handles to secure the bottom to the shipping carton. (2) Carefully turn the shipping carton right side up and lay it on a flat and steady surface.
