Selecting the dimmer mode

When you turn on the car head lights, the display and control buttons automatically dims (Auto Dimmer).

When shipped from the factory, the Auto Dimmer function has been activated. If you want to cancel this function, follow the procedure below and select “OFF”.

AUTO: Activates Auto Dimmer

OFF: Cancels Auto Dimmer

ON: Activates Dimmer

1.Press SEL for more than 2 seconds to set the preferred setting mode (see page 23).

2.Select “DIMMER” with the SEL button.

Current setting appears.

3.Press +/– to select the dimmer mode you want to use.

Each time you press the button, the dimmer mode changes as follows.

AUTO OFF ON

Note on Auto Dimmer:

Auto Dimmer equipped with this unit may not work correctly on some vehicles, particularly on those having a control dial for dimming.

In this case, set the dimmer mode to “ON” or “OFF”.

Turning on/off Tuner Call Play

When you start fast forwarding or rewinding a tape, the source changes to the tuner tempo- rarily and you can listen to the last received station. After fast-forwarding and rewind is stopped, tape play resumes automatically.

When shipped from the factory, Tuner Call Play has been activated.

If you want to cancel this function, follow the procedure below and select “OFF”.

ON: Activates Tuner Call Play

OFF: Cancels Tuner Call Play

1.Press SEL for more than 2 seconds to set the preferred setting mode (see page 23).

2.Select “TU CALL” with the SEL button.

Current setting appears.

3. Press – to select “OFF” (or press + to select “ON” again).
