**AUTO DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME

This function enables automatic adjustment of the VCR’s clock at the start and end of Daylight Saving Time.

With Auto DST activated, . . .

. . . on the first Sunday of April at 2:00 AM, the clock is adjusted to 3:00 AM.

. . . on the last Sunday of October at 2:00 AM, the clock is adjusted to 1:00 AM.

Semi-Auto

2	SELECT MODE
	At the Override Auto Clock Set screen, place the arrow
	next to “SEMI-AUTO CLOCK SET” by pressing CH▲▼,
	then press OK.
3	ACCESS SELECT SCREENS
	At the Semi-Auto Clock	SEMI-AUTO CLOCK SET
	Set screen, place the
		=HOST CHANNEL SELECT
	arrow next to the desired
		TIME ZONE SELECT
	mode by pressing CH▲▼,	D.S.T. SELECT
	then press OK.
	To select the Host Channel	PRESS (5,°), THEN (OK)
	— step 4	PRESS (MENU) TO END
	To select the Time Zone
	— step 5
	To select the D.S.T. mode — step 6
4	SELECT HOST CHANNEL
	You can either select	HOST CHANNEL SELECT
	“AUTO”, or enter a
			(TV)
	PBS channel number. For
		CH	AUTO
	automatic channel
	selection, simply press
	MENU. To manually select
	the PBS channel, press the	PRESS (5,°) TO SELECT
	appropriate NUMBER key,	PRESS (MENU) TO END
	CH▲▼ to cycle through
	the channel numbers (hold
	button down to speed through numbers) and stop when
	the desired number appears. Press MENU and the
	Semi-Auto Clock Set screen reappears.
	NOTE:
	There are some PBS channels that do not transmit clock
	setting data.
5	SELECT TIME ZONE
	You can either select	TIME ZONE SELECT
	“AUTO”, or select the
		=AUTO	MOUNTAIN
	correct zone. If you
		ATLANTIC	PACIFIC
	selected "AUTO" in step 4	EASTERN	ALASKA
	and if you live near the	CENTRAL	HAWAII
	boundary of an adjacent
	time zone, or receive	PRESS (5,°) TO SELECT
	cable TV channels, a PBS	PRESS (MENU) TO END
	channel from a different
	time zone may become your host channel. Therefore,
	in this case make sure to manually select the correct
	time zone. Place the arrow next to your choice by
	pressing CH5°, then press MENU to return to the
	Semi-Auto Clock Set screen.
