Chapter 4. Troubleshooting

Computer problems can be caused by hardware, software, or user errors. The information in this section will help you solve problems or gather helpful information you can pass on to a service technician. You might also need to refer to your computer or operating-system publications.

Review this list for any problem descriptions that might fit your situation:

The Lenovo USB Portable DVD Burner is not recognized by the operating system.

Ensure that the USB data cable goes from the host computer to the USB connector of the drive. Ensure that the USB power cable goes from the host computer to the USB connector of the drive.

You cannot create a multi-session medium.

Be sure that there is enough space left on the medium for another session. Writing a session requires lead-in and lead-out space (about 15 MB) in addition to the data that is recorded.
