Room features affecting sound

If the room is made of concrete and hard materials like wood walls, you will not hear the ultimate surround effects. The walls of the room must have the appropriate absorption factor and be able to "reflect" the sound for the proper effect. If the room has too much sound reflection, try repositioning the furniture. You may also need to hang curtains etc. to absorb more of the sound - experiment with the room’s acoustics.
