The HDMI CONTROL function does not work.

,When HDMI indicator does not light up on the front panel, check the HDMI connection (page 17).

,Set the “HDMI CONTROL” setting in “CUSTOM SETUP” to “ON” (page 60).

,Make sure that the connected component is compatible with the HDMI CONTROL function. Please refer to the operating instructions of the component for detailed explanation.

,If you change the HDMI connection, connect and disconnect the AC power cord, or have a power failure, set the “HDMI CONTROL” setting in “CUSTOM SETUP” to “OFF,” then set the “HDMI CONTROL” setting in “CUSTOM SETUP” to “ON” (page 60).

Display language on the screen switches automatically.

,When “LANGUAGE FOLLOW” is set to “ON” in the “CUSTOM SETUP” (page 60), the display language on the screen automatically switches, according to the language setting of the connected TV, if you change the language settings on your TV, etc.

The DVD player turns on automatically.

,HDMI input is selected using TV Interface. Some TV has this function for HDMI CONTROL.

,“HDMI CONTROL” in “CUSTOM SETUP” is set to “ON” (page 60).

Self-diagnosis Function

(When letters/numbers appear in the

display)

When the self-diagnosis function is activated to prevent the player from malfunctioning, a five-character service number (e.g., C 13 50) with a combination of a letter and four digits appears on the screen and the front panel display. In this case, check the following table.
