PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the FireBall EWP-2000, the two-way wireless web tablet from Escient. The EWP-2000 is a wireless remote control touch screen that provides two way interactive control of any FireBall product that supports the FireBall Web Interface. The EWP-2000 allows the user to control a FireBall without using the handheld remote control or TV display. Almost all of FireBall’s features are accessible directly from the EWP-2000’s high resolution touch screen interface.

ABOUT THIS MANUAL

This FireBall EWP-2000 User Manual is intended to provide the reader with an overview of the main features and benefits of the Escient FireBall EWP-2000 web pad as a wireless remote control device for a FireBall Media Management Server. For more information about the FireBall product line, please refer to the Escient FireBall User’s Manuals available on the Escient web site (www.escient.com) or contact your Escient dealer.

The serial number for this unit is located at the rear of the device, under the external battery.. Please record the serial number in the space provided below. Refer to it whenever you call upon your Escient dealer regarding this product.

At the time of printing, the FireBall EWP-2000 screen shot images in this manual matched the FireBall EWP-2000 interface screens. However, since FireBall Media Managers and the EWP-2000 have the capability to install software updates and enhancements on a regular basis, the resulting screen updates may no longer match the images in this manual. Check the Escient website for more information on software updates.
