SPECIAL PLAYBACK

Make sure ...

•The unit must be turned on.

•Insert a prerecorded tape.

RENTAL PLAYBACK

This function enables you to improve the picture quality when playing back worn cassettes such as rented tapes.

1 Select “USER’S SET UP”	– M E N U –
Press [MENU].	PICTURE CONTROL
	TIMER PROGRAMMING
Use [PLAY/K] or [STOP/L] to	SETTING CLOCK
Use [PLAY/K] or [STOP/L] to	B USER’S SET UP
	CHANNEL SET UP
point to “USER’S SET UP”, then	V-CHIP SET UP
point to “USER’S SET UP”, then	CAPTION [OFF]
	LANGUAGE [ENGLISH]
press [F.FWD/ B].	ZERO RETURN
press [F.FWD/ B].	TIME SEARCH

2 Set “RENTAL” to [ON]
Use [PLAY/K] or [STOP/L] to	– USER’S SET UP –
point to “RENTAL”.	B RENTAL	[ON]
Use [F.FWD/ B] or [REW/s] until	B RENTAL	[ON]
Use [F.FWD/ B] or [REW/s] until	AUTO RETURN	[OFF]
	REPEAT PLAY	[OFF]

[ON] appears.

3Exit the Rental setting

Press [MENU] to return to the TV mode.

4Start playback

Press [PLAY/K] to start playback. “RENTAL PLAY B” appears.

•Once you select the Rental mode, it stays in effect even after you turn off the unit.

TO CANCEL THE RENTAL MODE

Repeat steps 1 to 2 and select [OFF] using

[REW/s] or [F.FWD/ B]. Press [MENU] to return to TV mode.

Even if there is a power failure of any kind, the unit will retain its memory for this feature.

AUTO REPEAT PLAYBACK

The unit has the auto repeat function that allows you to repeat a tape indefinitely without pressing [PLAY/K]. ALL REPEAT: Repeat playback from the beginning

to the end of the tape.

BLANK REPEAT: Repeat playback from the begin- ning to a blank part, which is blank for more than 10 seconds.

Use [PLAY/K] or [STOP/L] to	– USER’S SET UP –
point to “REPEAT PLAY”.	RENTAL	[OFF]
Use [REW/s] or [F.FWD/ B]	B REPEAT PLAY	[ALL]
Use [REW/s] or [F.FWD/ B]	AUTO RETURN	[OFF]
	AUTO RETURN	[OFF]

repeatedly until your desired selec- tion [ALL] or [BLANK] appears.

3Exit the Repeat Play setting

Press [MENU] to return to the TV mode.

4Start playback

Press [PLAY/K] to start the Repeat Play. “REPEAT PLAY B” appears.

•Once you select the Repeat Play mode, it stays in effect even after you turn off the unit.

•If the Rental mode is set [ON], the “RENTAL PLAY B” display has priority.
