MOVIE RATING SYSTEM

X	Hard Core Films	Not for children under age 17 under any circumstance.
		Strong sexual content.
NC-17	Restrictd viewing	Same as X rating.
R	Restrictd viewing	Not for children under age 17. Strong element of sex and/or
		violence.
PG-13	Parental Guidance	Program is inappropriate for preteens, with a greater degree of
	Suggested	offensive material than a PG rated program.
PG	Parental Guidance	Content is such that parents may not want their children to view the
	Suggested	program.
G	General Audience	Content not offensive to most viewers.
NR	Not Rated	A motion picture that did not receive a rating for a variety of possi-
		ble reasons.
