Backlight

The Backlight adjusts the lamp current and affects the overall brilliance of the picture. It does not affect the Brightness (black level) or Contrast (white level) of the picture.

1. Press MENU on the remote control or the side of the TV. The Picture menu opens.

2.Press ▲or ▼ to select Backlight.

3.Press ► to start adjusting the brightness of the backlight. The menu page disappears and is replaced by a Backlight Indicator Bar.

4.Press ◄ or ► to adjust the level.

5.Press EXIT to exit the OSD.

Brightness

Brightness adjusts the black levels in the picture. If the brightness is too low you will not be able to see the detail in darker parts of the picture and if the brightness is too high the picture will look washed out.

1. Press MENU on the remote control or the side of your HDTV. The Picture menu opens.

2.Press ▲or ▼ to select Brightness.

3.Press ► to start adjusting Brightness. The menu page will disappear and be replaced by a Brightness Indicator Bar.

4.Press ◄ or ► to adjust the level.

5.Press EXIT to exit the OSD.
