Chapter 1 Basic Controls and Connections

1.1 Front Bezel

POWER LIGHT – The VIZIO name lights white when powered on and orange when powered off.

REMOTE CONTROL SENSOR – This is the window through which all of the remote control signals pass to the sensor. Point the remote control directly at this window for the best response to the remote signal.

1.2 Sensor Touch Controls

The GV47L FHD TV is equipped with Sensor Touch Controls that are hidden behind the bezel and remain asleep until you need to use them. From right to left; the keys are as follows:

POWER ( ) – Switch the GV47L FHDTV20A on by pressing the Sensor Touch area to activate the Controls and power up the TV. Press again to turn the GV47L FHDTV20A off.

SOURCE – Repeated pressing of this Control steps through the input sources in the following sequence: TV, AV1,

AV2, Component1,

Component2, RGB,

HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3 and HDMI4, after you stepped through the whole sequence you will return to the beginning.

Additionally, when the OSD is active, this Control confirms the menu

function to be adjusted. When the OSD is not active, pressing this button will display the current input mode.

CHANNEL +/- – Use these Controls to step up or down the TV channels. While the OSD is active, these function as up and down controls in the OSD menus.

VOLUME +/- – Use these Controls to increase or decrease to the speaker volume. While the OSD is active, these function as left and right controls in the OSD menus.

MENU – This Control activates the On Screen Display (OSD). If a sub-menu is active, pressing this Control will return to the previous menu level.
