Internet connection feature (Outline)

You may use the internet connection feature to update the player’s firmware. See page 58.

Future HD DVD discs may enable you to access special HD DVD sites, if you connect the player to the Internet via an always-on broadband connection. For example, if an HD DVD site includes content such as links to future movie trailers, you can watch the content on the player via the Internet.

You do not need to connect to a PC to use this function.

Before using this feature, please read and understand the important information in “Notes”.

This feature requires an always-on broadband internet connection.

An HD DVD disc compatible with this feature is required. Not all HD DVD discs are compatible.

If you wish to use a wireless network to connect the player, you will need to use a wireless LAN ethernet adapter to connect the player to the network.

The features of HD DVD discs made available through the Internet Connection feature are not created or provided by Toshiba, and Toshiba is not responsible for their functionality or continued availability. Some disc related material available by the Internet Connection may not be compatible with this player. If you have questions about such content, please contact the producer of the disc.

Some internet contents may require a higher bandwidth connection.
