Connecting to a USB Storage Device

This unit can be used to read JPEG, WMA, MP3 and DivX® data for any memory card reader/writer or digital camera that accepts USB Mass Storage Class.

For devices that are compatible with the unit’s USB port, please refer to page 9 .

Note:

Some USB storage device or USB cable may not be able to connect to the USB port of the TV because the shape of

the USB connector is not compatible with the USB port of the TV. In that case, please use a USB extension cable (not

supplied).

Notes:

To be read by the TV, compatible files must comply with the naming and directory requirements described on 54 .

The following procedures should be followed when connecting and disconnecting any USB storage device to the TV or inserting or removing any memory card from any memory reader connected to the USB port of the TV:

Do not connect or disconnect the USB storage device, or insert or remove any memory card from any memory reader, music player or camera connected to the USB port of the TV unless the TV is off or in DISC mode 56 .

Do not connect or disconnect the TV’s power cord while any USB storage device is connected to the TV. This restriction applies no matter what the operating mode of the TV.

Review the instructions for your USB storage device and comply with them in using the device with the TV.

Do not connect other USB devices (keyboards, printers, or any other non-USB Mass Storage Class device) to the USB port. Doing so may damage the TV or the USB device.

Do not attempt to use a USB hub. Only one USB storage device may be connected to the TV at once.

Failure to comply with these directions may result in data loss or in damage to the USB storage device or the memory card.

IMPORTANT: BECAUSE OF THE RISK OF DATA LOSS OR DAMAGE WHEN USING THIS DEVICE, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU BACK UP ANY FILES THAT WILL BE USED WITH THIS DEVICE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE COPYRIGHT LAWS IN USING THIS DEVICE (INCLUDING MAKING BACK UP COPIES).
