Chapter 3: Using the remote control

Learning about the remote control

The buttons used for operating the monitor only are described here. For a complete list of the remote control’s functions, see the remote control functional key chart (- page 19).

1POWER turns the monitor on and off. Press pto turn

on the monitor. The red LED indicator on the monitor’s front panel will be illuminated. Press pagain to turn off the monitor.

2FREEZE freezes the picture. Press again to restore the moving picture.

3SLEEP accesses the sleep timer (- page 38).

4PIC SIZE cycles through the pictures sizes: Natural,

TheaterWide 1/2/3, Full, and 4:3 HD (- page 26).

5INPUT selects the video input source (- page 25).

6VOL + – adjusts the volume level.

7PIC MODE selects the picture mode (page 29).

8RECALL displays the monitor’s setting information on- screen (- page 39).

9MUTE reduces or turns off the sound (- page 33).

10Arrow buttons (BbC c) When a menu is on-screen, these buttons select or adjust programming menus.

11ENTER activates highlighted items in the main menu system.

12MENU accesses the main menu system (- page 23).

13EXIT closes on-screen menus.

14MODE SELECT Switch switches between TV, CABLE/SAT, DVD, and VCR modes (-page 18). Set to “TV” to control the monitor.

Note: The error message “Not Available” may appear if you press a key for a function that is not available.
