Two categories of Safety instructions are included in this manual:

1.Product Warnings, (i.e. what must never be done, to assure avoiding those hazards that could cause bodily injury or property damage).

2.User Directions (i.e. what must always be done, to assure the safe use of your Receiver/Tuner).

The Safety Instructions contained in this manual have been categorized in accordance with the seriousness of the potential hazards, through the use of signal words. Those Signal Words, and their intended meanings, are as follows:

DANGER: Indicates that the failure to observe the Safety Instructions could result in death or catastrophic bodily injury.

WARNING: Indicates that a failure to observe the Safety Instructions could result in serious bodily injury.

CAUTION: Indicates that a failure to observe the Safety Instructions could result in minor bodily injury or property damage.

This is a reminder to call the CATV system installerÕs attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC, which provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as practical.
