FST PURE® Flat Design

Due to its flat design, viewing angle and picture linearity are greatly improved over traditional tube designs, delivering the most accurate, life-like images possible.

Digital Comb Filter

Commercial Skip

After a program has been recorded, pressing the SKIP button once during playback will automatically advance the tape 30-seconds forward bypassing recorded commer- cials. Pressing the skip button on the remote again will advance the recorded tape for another 30-seconds for a total of 60-seconds.

An advanced comb filter able to eliminate detail noise in intricate scenes as well as reduce dot crawl and color bleed from broadcast sources.

4 Head/19-Micron Head System

Offers superior slow motion effects over conventional 2 head VCR designs. Toshiba's 19-Micron Heads match precisely the width of the LP and EP azimuths and read only the signal recorded on each azimuth (not adjoining tracks). The benefit is significant- ly enhanced SLP and EP performance so good, it rivals the quality of tapes recorded in the SP Mode.

Picture Zoom

This interactive DVD feature allows you to select an area of the picture you want to zoom in on and magnify it. Enhanced digital processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback produces superior color fidelity and resolution, even when you're zoomed in. Also can be used to expand letterbox-only films to increase the viewable area on-screen.

Double Baffle Speaker Design

These front-firing, side-mounted speakers deliver the best stereo sound by keeping the sonic image widely separated within the cabinet.

VHS HiFi Stereo

Delivers the highest quality stereo sound from tapes recorded with a high fidelity soundtrack. Can be used in conjunction with a surround sound receiver to create sig- nature Dolby Surround, Dolby ProLogic®, or Dolby ProLogic II® Surround sound in the home theater environment.

Auto Clock Set

This feature ensures that your VCR never blinks "12:00" again. A special data stream in your local broadcast source (where available) automatically sets the clock display and keeps it accurate - even when time changes to daylight savings and back.

One-Touch Record

Simplifies timer setup for recording within a 24-hour period. One button starts record and allows setting of record length.

Digital Auto Tracking

Constantly adjusts tape alignment for optimum picture quality.

StableSound®

This feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal. This eliminates the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels.

Game Mode

Easily switch between TV and front inputs without the remote or accessing the menu system.
