HDMI connections
HDMI
DVI output can be supported simply by using DVI to HDMI adaptors as these two connection types are compatible. When using DVI only video will be passed to the TV/Monitor. A
As HDMI can carry both digital audio and video, HDMI can be used to connect to AV receivers that support this function. If your AV receiver is able to receive audio over HDMI only one cable is required*.
*If your AV receiver can switch HDMI but not receive audio in this way, an additional SPDIF or TOSlink cable will be required.
