The ARCAM DV139 DVD-player plays a range of disc types. These disc types include:

DVD-Video (single region, set at factory) DVD-Audio

DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW SACD version 1.3 MPEG2-encoded video files

MPEG4-encoded (DivX) video files (in AVI, MP4, and MP4-Nero formatting)

CD-Audio (including CD-R and CD-RW) with PCM, HDCD, WMA, MP2, MP3 or OGG encoding JPEG image files on CD (Picture CDs) and DVD.

Other disc formats may not play correctly in this player.

DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW discs (Audio CDs and Video CD/Super VCDs) recorded using a DVD recorder, CD recorder or personal computer cannot be guaranteed to play in the DV139. Incompatibility may be due to a number of possibilities, including the type of disc used and the recording method.
