CR100 Universal remote control

The CR100 remote control is a multi-function unit that controls the DV139 and up to seven other devices. The instructions on this page only refer to the control of the Arcam DV139.

For information on using the remote control for other devices, and a full list of features, see the instruction booklet supplied with the CR100.

Device selection

IMPORTANT: Press the ‘DVD’ button first to operate the DV139.

Press the relevant button once to select input and reconfigure the handset.

Press and hold the button until the power LED blinks once if you wish to reconfigure the handset without changing the input.

Navigation buttons

Arrow buttons allow navigation around the Basic and Advanced Set-up menus on the DV139.

Confirm a selection by pressing OK. ShifT B to Power on

Shift C to Power off

MODE

This button brings up a menu similar to the ‘Audio’ page of the Set-up menu and allows the Dolby Pro Logic II settings to be changed while a disc

is being played. Cycles through available audio surround modes.

SHIFT + Mode cycles through HDMI settings.

MUTE

Press once to mute an Arcam amplifier. Press again (or use +/– volume) to un-mute.

VOLUME +/–

Adjusts the sound output.

Remember to install the four AAA batteries

supplied before trying to

use your remote control.

On/Stand-by

This allows the DV139 to be put into and taken out of stand-by remotely.

Numeric keys

Gives direct access to individual tracks on audio CDs.

RND

Toggles random (‘shuffle’) play of chapters/tracks on and off.

RPT

Cycles through repeat play options (chapter, title, disc, etc.).

Press SHIFT + RPT to repeat a specific section of a DVD or VCD (an ‘A-B repeat’).

MENU

Activates the DVD menu if available.

DISP (display)

Press to cycle through the front panel display’s brightness options (dim to bright, off).

0 /

Press and release to skip backwards to the previous track(0) or forwards to the next track (/).

If the remote control receiver (located on the right of the front-

panel window) is not ‘visible’ to the

remote control hand-set, then the

remote control will not work! Either

locate the unit differently, or take

advantage of the remote control

input on the rear of the player

(consult your dealer for further

information on this option).
