Setting upYour PC Software (Based on Windows XP)

The Windows display-settings for a typical computer are shown below. But the actual screens on your PC will probably be different, depending upon your particular version of Windows and your particular video card. But even if your actual screens look different, the same, basic set-up information will apply in almost all cases. (If not, contact your computer manufacturer or Samsung Dealer.)

1Right click the mouse on the Windows Desktop, then click on Properties. The Display Properties will be displayed.

2Click on Settings tab, then set the Display Mode with reference to the Display Modes Table. You do not need to change the Colours settings.

3Click on Advanced. A new settings dialog box will be displayed.

4Click on the Monitor tab, then set the Screen refresh rate with reference to the Display Modes Table. Set the Vertical Frequency and Horizontal Frequency individually if you can do so instead of setting the Screen refresh rate.

5Click on OK to close the window, then Click on OK button to the Display Properties window. Automatic re-booting may commence at this moment.

PS-50C6HR, PS-42C6HR specifications

The Samsung PS-42C6HR and PS-50C6HR are part of Samsung's plasma television lineup, known for delivering impressive picture quality and advanced features. These models showcase Samsung's commitment to innovation and user experience, making them suitable for both casual viewers and home theater enthusiasts.

One of the key features of both the PS-42C6HR and PS-50C6HR is their exceptional screen technology. With screen sizes of 42 inches and 50 inches respectively, these plasma TVs utilize advanced Plasma Display Panel (PDP) technology. This technology allows for deeper blacks, vibrant colors, and wider viewing angles compared to traditional LCD TVs. The rich color saturation and contrast ratio ensure a lifelike viewing experience, making movies, sports, and video games more immersive.

In terms of resolution, both models boast a high-definition display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. While not full HD by today’s standards, the picture quality is impressive for its time, offering sharp images and smooth motion thanks to a fast response time of 0.001 ms. This makes these televisions suitable for fast-paced action scenes and sports broadcasts without ghosting or blurriness.

Another notable aspect of these televisions is their connectivity options. The PS-42C6HR and PS-50C6HR come equipped with multiple inputs, including HDMI, Component, and Composite ports, allowing users to connect a range of devices such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, and set-top boxes. The inclusion of a built-in digital tuner facilitates access to a variety of HD channels, enhancing the viewing experience without the need for additional external equipment.

Furthermore, both models feature Samsung's MagicNet technology, providing users with access to a range of online content. This allows for streaming movies, videos, and multimedia content directly on the television. The user-friendly interface ensures easy navigation, making it simple for users to find their desired content.

Acoustically, the PS-42C6HR and PS-50C6HR are equipped with onboard speakers that deliver decent sound quality, enhancing the overall viewing experience. For users seeking superior audio, connecting an external sound system through the optical audio output is recommended.

In summary, the Samsung PS-42C6HR and PS-50C6HR plasma televisions offer a compelling combination of impressive picture quality, versatile connectivity, and access to online content. These models reflect Samsung's dedication to providing consumers with cutting-edge technology and enhanced entertainment options. While newer models with advanced features are now available, these televisions remain a testament to Samsung's legacy in the realm of home displays.
