The BDP 1 Blu-ray Discplayer is the latest component offered in that proud tradition.

Incorporating the latest high-definition audio and video processing technologies, the BDP 1 is an essential part of a modern home theater system. It plays your favorite Blu-ray Disc movies with up to 1080/24p video resolution and Dolby® TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audioencoding, when available on the disc, thanks to HDMI(V.1.3a

with x.v.Color) connectivity. BonusViewinteractivity, available with compatible Blu-ray Disc media, allows the filmmaker to offer viewing features and options unimaginable with previous-generation discs.

Connect the BDP 1 to the Internet, and BD-Liveinteractivity (available with compatible discs; requires USB drive with a least 1GB free space; select “Storage” in USB Function Select menu) delivers additional features, updates and news of live events. Even older DVD-Video discs will deliver outstanding picture quality, when they are upscaled to 1080p video resolution.

Yet with all of its sophistication, the BDP 1 is simple to operate. Its controls are similar to those for DVD players, and its enhanced on-screen menu system guides you every step of the way. BDP 1 Blu-ray DiscPlayer

NOTE: This player is designed and manufactured for compatibility with Region Management Information that is encoded on most Blu-ray Disc and DVD media. This player is designed only for playback of discs with Blu-ray Region Code A, DVD Region Code 1, DVD Region Code 0, or discs which do not contain Region Code information. If there is any other Region Code on a disc, it will not play in the BDP 1.
