6.Assemble the rack containing the hard disk into DVR while holding up the handle.

7.Have the rack fixed in using the key of the rack. Otherwise, “HDD INSTALLATION FAILURE” message will pop-up.

8.If the hard disk is not formatted and recognizable by DVR, an automatic formatting will be done when the power of DVR is turned on. The notice “FORMATING” will appear on the screen as shown below during formatting.

6-2. HDD Jumper Setting

DVR allows on one hard disk to be assembled into the REMOVEBLE HDD RACK and a new hard disk’s JUMPER SETTING should be set to either SINGLE or MASTER. All hard disks provide information needed for JUMPER SETTING on the hard disks’ exterior. Please beware that DVR will not run properly without a proper JUMPER SETTING.
