Frequently Asked Questions (continued)
What does ‘finalising’ a disc do?
Finalising a disc locks the disc so it can no longer be recorded. This is only required for DVD±R. It will then be compatible with virtually any DVD player. To remove a disc without finalising it, simply stop recording and eject the disc. You can still record on the disc if there is storage space for more recordings.
How good is the quality of the recording?
There are a few picture quality levels to choose from, ranging from ‘HQ’ (1 hour recording at high quality) to ‘SEP’ (8 hours recording at VHS quality) on a recordable DVD.

The
When playing a DivX movie, why the subtitle cannot be displayed properly?
–You have to make sure that the subtitle file has the exact same file name as the movie file. If for example the filename of the movie is “Movie.avi”, then you will need to name the text file “Movie.sub” or “Movie.srt”.
–You may need to change the ‘Character set’ or ‘DivX subtitle’ display of this player to which supports the recorded DivX subtitle.
