Controlling ‘PHILIPS’ TV with the remote control

This DVD system’s remote control enables you to control the basic functions of your ‘PHILIPS’ brand TV.

A Press SOURCE repeatedly until “TV” appears on the display panel (or press TV/AUX/DI on the remote control repeatedly).

B Use . or > keys or the numeric keypad (0-9) to select the TV’s channel.

C Press TV VOLUME +/- to adjust the TV’s volume level.

Dimming system’s display screen

In any active mode, press and hold DISPLAY on the remote control repeatedly to select desired brightness: HIGH, MID or LOW. HIGH is default setting.

Setting the sleep timer

The sleep timer enables the system to switch to standby mode automatically at a preset time.

Press SLEEP repeatedly until it reaches the desired preset turn-off time.

The selections are as follows (time in minutes).

15 ¤ 30 ¤ 45 ¤ 60 ¤ OFF ¤ 15...

Before the system switches to standby mode, a countdown of 10 seconds is displayed.

To check or change the setting

Press SLEEP once to show the remaining time before switching off. If you continue pressing the SLEEP button, the next sleep timer option will appear.

To cancel the sleep timer

Press SLEEP repeatedly until "OFF" appears or press the STANDBY ON.
