Adjusting automatic switch-off

If the video recorder is not used for several minutes, it switches itself off automatically. If you want to use the video recorder as a TV receiver, you can deactivate the automatic switch-off as follows:

1Press the MENU button on the remote control.The on-screen menu appears

2Use =P- or ;P+ to select the option “AUTO STANDBY” and confirm with OK

3Use P or Q to select the setting “OFF” (automatic switch-off deactivated) or “ON” (automatic switch-off activated) and confirm with OK. The screen will show the message “STORED”

4Complete the adjustment of automatic switch-off with the MENU button

Adjusting the child lock

You can prevent unauthorised use of your video recorder with this function. Once it is activated, the buttons on the front of the set are locked. Previously entered programmes will of course be recorded

1Press the CHILD LOCK button for a few seconds, until the display shows “u”.The child lock is now activated. Switch off the video recorder with the Standby button m on the remote control. The set can now only be switched on with the remote control. Put away the remote control in a secure place

2To deactivate the child lock, press the button CHILD LOCK for a few seconds until “u” disappears in the display
