∙The “Maximum unfinished simultaneous connections” option has to do with a security fix Microsoft put in place that limits unfinished TCP/IP connections to 10. It can however negatively affect P2P file sharing performance.
∙The “Unsigned Themes Support” option patches a file that should never have needed patching in the first place. Microsoft implemented a powerful theming engine in Windows XP and then released a whopping 2 themes to date and locked everybody else out. This patch allows user- created themes to be used.
