Remote control unit battery service life

Up to approximately 30,000 signals can be sent to the camera from the remote control unit. Contact your nearest Pentax service center when battery replacement becomes necessary.

• The buttons on the camera can be used in the same way.

Please ensure that the remote control unit is no more than 5 meters away from the front of the camera.

To take a picture immediately after pressing the shutter release

button on the remote control unit, press the button in step x to display on the LCD monitor.

When the digital zoom function is enabled, the digital zoom can not be operated with the remote control unit, but the digital zoom can be operated by pressing the Zoom button on the camera. However, the camera will revert to optical zoom mode by pressing the Zoom button on the remote control unit.

The powersaving function can be operated (the self-timer lamp will also go off).
