Recording Movies

Shoot short movies with sound. During recording, zREC and the time remaining will be displayed in the LCD moni- tor and sound will be recorded via the built-in microphone (be careful not to cover the microphone during recording).

1 Press MENU/OK to display the shooting menu and select FMOVIE for ASHOOTING MODE (P20). Use zoom buttons to frame the subject.

2Press the shutter button all the way down to start recording.

3To end recording, press the shutter button again. Recording ends auto- matically when the movie reaches maximum length or memory is full.

Zoom adjustment

Zoom can be adjusted while recording is in progress. Select the type of zoom available for pMOVIE ZOOM TYPE in the setup menu. Selecting 2OPTICAL blocks sound being recorded when zooming.
