Charge the battery

Open the battery-chamber cover Slide the battery-chamber cover in the direction shown (￿), stopping when the cover opens (￿).

Insert the battery

Insert the battery as shown in the label at the entrance to the battery chamber, making sure that the posi- tive (“+”) and negative (“–”) termi- nals are in the correct orientation.

Inserting the battery upside down or backwards could damage the camera. Be sure that the battery is in the correct orientation.

When the battery is fully inserted, the orange battery latch will pop up, locking the battery in place.

Close the battery-chamber cover Close the cover (￿) and slide it in until it latches (￿).
