Making a video action print

From a video, you can make a 4-, 9-, or 16-up picture, suitable for a 4 x 6-inch (10 x 15 cm) print.

1Press the Review button, then to find a video.

2Press the Menu button, choose Edit Video, then press OK. Choose Action Print, then press OK.

3Choose an 4, 9, or 16, then press OK.

The camera creates a picture that includes the first and last frames, then 2, 7, or 14 equally spaced frames.

Press the Menu button to exit the menu.

Using the histogram to view picture exposure

Use the histogram to evaluate the distribution of light before or after you take a picture. If the peak is to the right of the graph, the subject is bright; if it’s to the left, the subject is dark. Optimal exposure is achieved when the peak is in the middle of the histogram.

To turn on the histogram in P, A, S, or M mode or in Review, press the Info button until the histogram appears.

NOTE: If a scene is dark or light, you can adjust the exposure compensation (see page 35) before taking the picture. The flash may affect a picture’s light and shadow and will not affect the histogram until after the picture is taken.
