APPENDIX

Troubleshooting

The section covers minor problems with basic camera operation. For major problems or damage, or if a problem continues to reoccur frequently, contact a Konica Minolta service facility.

Problem

The camera will not work.

Symptom

Nothing dis- played on the monitor.

Cause

The battery is dead.

The auto-power-off func- tion has turned the cam- era off.

The AC adapter is not connected properly.

Solution

Replace battery (p. 14).

Press the main switch to restore power. The length of the auto-power-off period can be changed in section 2 of the setup menu.

Check that the adapter is con- nected to the camera and a live electrical outlet (p. 16).

Shutter will not release.

“0000” is dis- played on the frame counter.

No-card warn- ing appears on the monitors.

Memory card is full and unable to store an image at the image-quality set- ting on the camera.

No memory card in the camera.

Insert a new memory card (p. 18), delete some images (p. 68), or change the image- quality setting (p. 45).

Insert a memory card (p. 18). The camera can record and playback a single still image without a memory card installed in the camera. However, the image cannot be saved.
