Step 3:
Copy the firmware to a CF or SD memory card
Preparing the card (formatting):
1.Format the memory card in the camera. Information about formatting the memory card can be found in the camera manual.
Important:
When you format the memory card, all the data on it – including protected files – will be deleted and cannot be recovered without the use of specialist software.
2.Insert the formatted memory card into the relevant card slot on your PC, or use an external card reader.
3.Copy the file S_006_2_3_0_0.FW to the master directory
(*1) on the memory card.
Step 4:
Install the firmware update
1.Remove the card properly from your card reader, insert the card into the camera and close the bottom cover.
2.Press and hold the joystick on the rear of the camera and turn on the camera. The update process starts after a few seconds. You can now release the joystick. The update process is shown as a graphic in the monitor and may take several minutes.
3.When the installation has been completed successfully, turn off the camera. When you turn it on again, the latest firmware is active and can be checked in the menu (see
Step 1).
Note:
If the battery does not have sufficient charge, a corresponding warning message appears in the monitor on the camera.
