Charging the Battery

The supplied AC adapter can charge the battery or activate the camera. Make sure that power of the camera is off and then insert the battery before starting.

1.Insert the barrel plug of the AC adapter into the DC IN socket of the camera.

2.Insert the other end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet.

The status LED flashes green when charging starts and lights green when charging completes. It is recommended to fully discharge or deplete the battery before charging.

Charging time varies according to the ambient temperature and the remaining power of battery.

Caution: You must use a class II, 5V/3A AC adapter. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must correctly fit the camera’s DC IN 5V jack. The supplied adapter meets these requirements. Using an adapter that does not meet these requirements could damage the camera or the adapter.

Notes:

Before charging, turn power on at any mode. After LCD monitor turns on, turn power off.

The battery may become warm after charging or used for a long time. This is normal and not a malfunction. When using the camera in cold areas, keep the camera and battery in your overcoat to keep them warm. If you open the battery cover without removing the battery, the power will not be terminated. If you remove the battery, and do not re-insert it within 2 hours, the date and time will reset.

We recommend you charge the battery eight hours before first use.
