1Battery Level Indicator

The battery level indicator displays the amount of power left in the rechargeable battery. It flashes when the battery is almost empty.

This indicator is not recorded on the tape.

2Status Displays

REC appears when the camcorder is recording.

PAUSE flashes when the camcorder is in record pause.

FF appears when the tape is fast forwarding, and REW appears when the tape is rewinding.

STOP appears when the camcorder is stopped during playback.

PLAY appears when the camcorder is playing back a tape.

A larger REC or PAUSE briefly appears below the status display area when you

start or stop recording to let you know that the SCENE SELECT control is set to AUTO.

These displays are not recorded on the tape.

Turn the preset program control to select one of the preset program modes.

The indicator for the mode selected will appear in the viewfinder. No indicator appears when AUTO is selected.
