Pro-8a 1200 Air, Pro-8a 2400 Air specifications

The Profoto Pro-8a Air is a state-of-the-art studio flash system designed for professional photographers who require reliability and high performance during their shoots. Available in two versions, the Pro-8a 2400 Air and the Pro-8a 1200 Air, this system is renowned for its robust construction and versatility, making it an essential tool for both studio and location photography.

One of the standout features of the Pro-8a 2400 Air and Pro-8a 1200 Air is their impressive power output. The Pro-8a 2400 model offers up to 2400 watt-seconds, while the Pro-8a 1200 delivers a maximum output of 1200 watt-seconds. This high power capacity ensures photographers can achieve optimal exposure even with larger light modifiers or at greater distances.

Both models are equipped with Profoto's AirTTL technology, which allows for seamless wireless connectivity between the flash units and compatible cameras. This feature simplifies the process of adjusting settings and achieving the right exposure, particularly advantageous during dynamic shoots where quick adjustments are essential. The Air Remote and Air Sync capabilities enable photographers to control multiple light sources effortlessly, enhancing creativity and flexibility.

The Pro-8a series incorporates Advanced High-Speed Synchronization (HSS) technology, allowing photographers to shoot at shutter speeds that exceed standard flash sync speeds. This capability is particularly useful for capturing images in bright daylight or when using wide apertures to achieve that sought-after shallow depth of field.

Speed is another defining characteristic of the Pro-8a Air range. The flash duration can be as short as 1/1000 of a second, enabling photographers to freeze motion effectively, making it an excellent choice for action-packed scenarios or subjects in motion.

Durability and portability are also important to the Pro-8a series. The units are built with rugged materials, ensuring they withstand the rigors of professional use. Additionally, their lightweight design and integrated handles facilitate easy transport, whether moving between studio setups or on-location shoots.

In summary, the Profoto Pro-8a 2400 Air and Pro-8a 1200 Air stand out in the market for their exceptional power, advanced technology, and user-friendly design. With features like AirTTL, HSS, and fast flash durations, these units cater to the diverse needs of professional photographers, allowing them to push their creative boundaries while maintaining reliability in every shoot.
