Digital Still Camera mode (VP-D190/D190i only)

Deleting Still images

You can erase the still images recorded on the SmartMediaCard.

If you want to delete protected images, you must first deactivate the image protection.

An image which has been deleted cannot be recovered.

1.Set the power switch to M.PLAY.

2.Using the (FWD) and (REW) buttons, search for the still image that you want to delete.

3.Press the MENU button.

4.Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY and push the MENU DIAL.

The MEMORY SET submenu will appear.

5.Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight DELETE and push the MENU DIAL.

Using the MENU DIAL, select either THIS FILE or ALL FILES and push the MENU DIAL.

THIS FILE : deletes only the file currently selected.

ALL FILES : deletes all files stored in the SmartMediaCard.

6.A box will appear to verify whether you wish to delete the image(s).

EXECUTE : deletes the selected image(s).

CANCEL : does not delete the selected image(s) and returns to the previous menu.

Reference

If you try to delete a protected image, “Protect!” appears on the screen.

You can delete the current displayed image (when still images are on) by pressing (DELETE) on the function keys. Pressing (DELETE) will see you “DELETE REALLY?”, and pressing again will delete the current image.
