Formatting a memory card

Formatting a Memory Card from a PC

When formatting a memory card from a Windows 2000 or XP-based PC, format the card under the "FAT" files system. When formatting a memory card, connect the camera to your PC with the USB cable. (See p. 82)

1. Select [Removable Disk] in the [Windows Explorer].

2. Press the right mouse button and select [Format].

3. Select [FAT] file format type and click the [Start] button.

Setting up the Date type

You can set up the date type.

Selecting Date Format

1.In any mode other than Voice Recording mode, press the MENU button.

2.Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the [SETUP] menu tab.

3.Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select [D.TYPE], and then press the RIGHT button.

4.Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the desired date format, and then press the OK button. The following date formats are available:

[year/month/day]/[ month/day/year]/[day/month/year]

5.Press the menu button twice and the menu will disappear.
