• Installing the Batteries

Two AA batteries are supplied with the product. For a detailed guideline on battery usage, please see “Using your batteries” on page 74.

1.Open the camera battery door by pushing it outwards as illustrated.

2.Insert the batteries as shown, ensuring you follow the +/- signs correctly.

3.Close the battery door by pressing it downwards and then sliding it towards the camera to lock.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

For best performance and prolonged battery life, we recommend the use of AA lithium or rechargeable NiMH.

Turning the Camera On and Off

Pull left to open the LCD screen panel. Fully press and hold the Power On/Off button until the LCD screen is on. Press the Power On/Off button again to turn off the camera.

NOTE: Check and make sure that the date and time are correct after switching on the camera, especially when the batteries are kept in the battery compartment for a period of time (like over a month or so), or when the batteries are removed from the camera for over a week. For a detailed guideline on date and time adjustment, see “Setting the Current Date and Time” on page 16.
