Changing Advanced Settings (cont.)

Self Timer

The self timer delays the shutter briefly after you press the shutter button (for example, so you can set the camera and then join the picture). When you select the SELF TIMER option, you can choose among 3 options:

5 SEC. — activates a 5 second shutter delay.

10 SEC. — activates a 10 second shutter delay.

OFF — turns off the self timer.

After you make your self timer selection, frame the picture and press the shutter button. The red LED on the front of the camera next to the flash blinks as the self timer counts down.

!Note: The self timer is used only for the next picture to be taken. You must set the self timer for each picture individually.

Focus

Selecting the FOCUS option allows you to choose a focal distance manually for your shots. The distance setting should approximately match the distance of the subject from the lens. The choices are:
