A Sony world first

The Sony HDR-FX1E is no normal High Definition camcorder – it’s the world’s first consumer HD model to use the 1080i video signal, which gives you more pixels and a higher bit rate for astonishing image quality. What’s more, the HDR-FX1E offers rare dual-format ‘switchability’ so you can record and play back on HDV 1080i and MiniDV. Whichever format you choose, with 16:9, three CCDs and the finest Vario-Sonnar T* lens from Carl Zeiss, this Handycam has the semi-pro features to do any film justice.
